I think the heart of it is less “I photograph people in love” and more

I photograph the things you’ll one day ache to remember.

I’m not here to make your wedding look like something it wasn’t.
I’m here to photograph it as it felt.
The way they looked at you. Your grandparents on the dance floor. Your best friend laughing across the room. The hand you reached for without thinking. The people you love, together, in a place and time that will never exist in quite the same way again.
Because time moves quickly.
And years from now, I want these photographs to do more than show you what your wedding looked like. I want them to bring you back to it.
To the nerves. The joy. The whirlwind of it all. The quiet. The love.
I want your photographs to feel believable. Honest. Full of your people, just as they are, and the way you love each other.
I could say I photograph couples who are deeply in love, and I do. But I think this work matters because you won’t feel deeply in love every day.
Life will happen. Things will change. People will change.
And someday, these photographs will remind you where you started.
They will hold the people who were there. The way your family looked then. The people your children may only ever know through stories and photographs. The small moments you didn’t realize would become the ones you miss most.
That is the weight of this work to me.
Not creating memories for you. Not staging something just for the photograph.
Paying attention while your life is happening.
So you can remember how it felt.

“I photograph people, places, and hearts — mostly all at once.”
